Crust
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup melted butter
Topping
- 4 cups chocolate chips
- 1 package mini marshmallows (about 10 ounces)
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the crust.
- Prepare Pan: Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Make Crust: In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated with butter.
- Form Crust: Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of the prepared baking pan, ensuring an even layer.
- Bake Crust: Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8 minutes to set it.
- Add Toppings: Remove the pan from the oven and evenly sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot crust, then add the mini marshmallows on top.
- Bake with Toppings: Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the marshmallows turn golden brown and toasted.
- Cool and Chill: Allow the bars to cool at room temperature, then transfer the pan to the refrigerator to chill and set the bars fully.
- Serve: Once chilled, cut the bars into squares and serve.
Notes
- Use full-size marshmallows if mini marshmallows are unavailable, but reduce baking time slightly to avoid burning.
- For an extra chocolatey twist, drizzle melted chocolate over the cooled bars.
- Store leftover bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Allow bars to cool completely before cutting to avoid melting or squishing.
