This decadent Marshmallow Swirl Fudge combines rich semi-sweet chocolate with creamy marshmallow fluff for a luscious treat. Easy to make on the stovetop and then chilled to set, this fudge offers a smooth chocolate base beautifully contrasted by sweet, fluffy marshmallow swirls—perfect for holiday gifting or indulgent snacking.

Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Base

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt

Marshmallow Swirl

  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff (or marshmallow cream)

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate. In a saucepan over low heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and melted butter. Stir constantly until the mixture is completely smooth and melted without any lumps.
  2. Add the vanilla and salt. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt thoroughly to incorporate the flavors evenly.
  3. Pour into the pan. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Pour the chocolate fudge mixture into the dish and spread it out evenly with a spatula.
  4. Add the marshmallow swirl. Drop spoonfuls of marshmallow fluff on top of the chocolate layer. Using a knife, gently swirl the marshmallow into the fudge to create a marbled effect without fully mixing it in.
  5. Chill and set. Place the baking dish in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm and set completely.
  6. Cut and serve. Once set, lift the fudge from the dish using the parchment paper edges. Cut into squares and enjoy your delicious marshmallow swirl fudge!

Notes

  • Use parchment paper to easily lift the fudge out of the pan once set.
  • You can substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips with milk chocolate for a sweeter fudge or dark chocolate for a richer taste.
  • Be careful when melting the chocolate to avoid overheating, which can cause the chocolate to seize.
  • For more defined swirls, avoid over-mixing the marshmallow fluff into the fudge.
  • Store leftover fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
