90 Second Bread Ingredients
- 3 TBSP almond flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 2 TBSP butter, melted
- 1 egg
- Seasonings (optional): taco seasoning, curry, garlic salt, etc.
Sandwich Fillings
- Cheddar cheese
- Meats of your choice (optional)
- Additional butter for frying
- Melt Butter: In a bowl, melt 2 tablespoons of butter until liquid and set aside.
- Mix Ingredients: Add 3 tablespoons of almond flour, 1 egg, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, and optional seasonings to the melted butter. Whisk everything together thoroughly to form the batter.
- Prepare Bread Container: Pour the batter into a sandwich container, mug, or small square container. For an English muffin shape, use a mug; for bread slices shape, use a square container. This will be your low-carb bread base.
- Microwave Bread: Cook the batter in the microwave for 90 seconds. The bread will be soft and squishy immediately after cooking.
- Cool and Slice: Remove the bread from the microwave and let it cool for about 20 seconds. Then cut the bread in half to create sandwich slices. If the bread is too thin, prepare two slices for a more filling sandwich.
- Fill Sandwich: Add cheddar cheese and your choice of meats on one slice of the bread, then top with the other slice to form your sandwich.
- Grill Sandwich: Heat some butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook each side until crispy and golden brown, melting the cheese inside.
Notes
- You can customize the bread batter with various seasonings to suit your taste.
- For a firmer sandwich base, toast the bread slices before assembling the sandwich.
- If the bread is too thin, double up slices for a heartier grilled cheese.
- Use a non-stick skillet for easy grilling without sticking.
- Ensure the skillet is at medium heat to avoid burning the bread before the cheese melts.
