Tender and flavorful garlic butter steak bites served with a rich and creamy Parmesan sauce, perfect for a quick and elegant meal that combines juicy seared steak with a luxurious cream topping.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak Bites

  • 1 lb (450g) sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

For the Parmesan Cream Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Prep the Steak: Pat your steak cubes dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear, then season them generously with salt and pepper on all sides for maximum flavor.
  2. Sear the Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes in batches to avoid overcrowding, and sear each batch for 2–3 minutes on each side until nicely browned. Remove the seared steak bites from the pan and set them aside.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter: Reduce the heat to medium in the same skillet. Melt the butter and add the minced garlic, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them well to coat in the garlic butter sauce.
  4. Prepare the Parmesan Cream Sauce: In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the finely minced garlic for 30 seconds. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes to taste.
  5. Serve: Pour the rich Parmesan cream sauce over the garlic butter steak bites or serve it on the side. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately while warm for the best taste experience.

Notes

  • To ensure the steak bites are tender, avoid overcrowding the pan when searing.
  • Using freshly grated Parmesan cheese provides a better melt and flavor than pre-grated cheese.
  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the cream sauce.
  • Serve with crusty bread or over mashed potatoes to enjoy the creamy sauce fully.
  • Use sirloin for leaner steak or ribeye for more marbling and richness.
