Ingredients

Scale

Salad Ingredients

  • 3 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped cooked chicken (grilled, fried, or rotisserie)
  • 1/3 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup homemade croutons
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Wrap

  • 4 flour tortillas or wraps (10-inch size)

Instructions

  1. Combine Salad Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, chopped cooked chicken, Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan cheese, and homemade croutons. Use tongs to toss everything together well. Season the mixture with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste, and adjust the dressing if more is needed. Set aside.
  2. Warm Tortillas: Heat a large pan over medium heat and warm each tortilla for 15 to 30 seconds per side until they become pliable. Alternatively, warm them in the microwave between paper towels for 15 to 30 seconds. Place the warmed tortillas on a plate and cover with a kitchen towel to keep warm and soft.
  3. Assemble Wraps: Lay the warm tortillas flat on a clean surface. Divide the Caesar salad mixture evenly among them, placing the filling in the center of each tortilla. Fold in the opposite edges of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly like a burrito. You may insert a toothpick to secure the wrap if desired.
  4. Serve: Cut the wraps in half for easier handling or serve them whole. Enjoy immediately for best freshness and texture.

Notes

  • Best eaten the same day to avoid sogginess from the dressing.
  • Ingredients like lettuce, chicken, and croutons can be prepped in advance for quick assembly.
  • Homemade croutons add superior crunch and flavor, but store-bought croutons can be used in a pinch.
  • For variation, add halved grape tomatoes, cooked bacon, roasted red peppers, artichokes, or avocado.
  • To keep lettuce crisp longer, store chopped romaine with a paper towel in a sealed bag or container.
  • Store assembled wraps in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 6-8 hours, but expect some sogginess.
  • Extra Caesar dressing can be served on the side for dipping.
